Angular Contact Ball Bearings are used as thrust bearings for Rod and Bar Mill Stands as well as critical bearings within mill drives. These bearings are typically arranged to accommodate thrust loads for specific applications.
Screw down bearings are full complement, steep angle, single row, thrust oriented tapered bearings designed specifically for steel mills. Two of these bearings work together to accommodate the total load of separating forces of a steel mill allowing the mill to adjust the gap between the work rolls.
